But anyway, hope the update is the HOM one that's been discussed for quite some time. *keeps fingers crossed*

In that case "WTB Hell Mode"
Hard mode is supposed to be hard. Ursan and various other things added that reduce its difficulty remove the whole point of HM. With HM so easy if you use ursan they may as well have not bothered wasting time to create HM or ursan at all.

Maybe they'll add an "Ursan Mode". If if x% of your party have UB on their skill bar, Ursan Mode is forced on, with larger mobs at even higher levels. Would make it a bit more balanced, kind of like the wurm areas of Nightfall.

I believe it's probably demine, but i suck at the english language and demine doesn't even look like a word to me atm but it sounds right. Alcohol deprives you of linguistic talent.
Anyway i'm thoroughly looking forward to this update because the entire GW community is going to explode whichever way it goes.

I think Tender Wolf won the thread right there.
I'm hoping for things like Hundred blades buff and maybe even a mending buff. (H4X).
I expect only a few meaningful updates (ursan) as well as a bunch of junk like buffing of an elite that will be nerfed again because it was too op.

Nope. Offline = others gameplay won't bother you, but =/= free to ruin the game.

We're dealing with an online-game.
And a developer.
ANet and GW aren't subject to any different rules than the games I listed above. The only problem is that they *listened* to the people who wanted to dumb-down and break their game, and they're just now accepting that it was a bad idea (no shit).

Which begs the question: Why would they rather listen and cater to people who don't care/understand about what makes their game the way it is, and not to people who want to improve it?
And no, I don't think we could deal with it because I don't know of a single game developer that ever said "hey, let's make our game worse!"

First, that undermines the point of an online game in the first place. Secondly, making your game worse isn't a "normal way of functioning", improving it is.

Agreed. The Ursan is a split, you are either with it, or against it, very few people stand at the middle line.(as far as I'm aware of)
Ursan is defintly kill-able, and it doesn't take much of a mob to kill a full group of ursans. At max level, you only get +20 armor, which is roughly a Soj without the regen. But then again, so what? OK, these high and majestic ones want to play Pve with skill. Ok, do it, go right ahead, play Pve with however much skill you got. Don't use ursan then, its that simple.
But you should also realize that some people just want to get the job done, they don't care whether it involves skills or not. (title hunters, for one) So personally I agree that the Ursan doesn't deserve a nerf, its fine the way it is, it's the people who are making such a big deal out of something so little. (Soooo according to you, we should call HM Ursan Mode from now on? for ex.) If you like Ursan, use it, if you hate it, don't use it, play the game, not complain about it.

I heard they were gunna put new minis in the game, including the full U2 band, and if you collect them all you can do a concert in your HoM. You heard it here first.

What I expect:
1. HoM Update
2. Reward Points
3. New Tonic
4. Skill Nerf/Buff (to what is needed)
What I hope in addition:
1. New Armor in Tyria for expansion professions.
2. More then just Tormented Weapons in the HoM.
3. A new Elite Area or two.
4. Improvements to Tombs (end-chest and statue in HoM)
5. Titan Quests become repeatable.
6. Adventurer Title
7. Drunkard/Sweet Tooth/Party Animal/Wisdom/Treasure Hunter become account based
8. SS/LB and EN Rep titles use the Kurzick/Luxon rank system and becomes account based.
9. Removal of /rank and /zrank
I don't expect much but I hope for a lot .
Just one of those things from my hope and most from what I expect would be lovely ANet. And the best part of this update is that I will be getting home around the time it should be coming! (Wed/Thur).
Edit: @ Tender Wolf. Not to be mean, but for your sake and the sanity of Guru either stay out of Hard Mode completely, or stay out of Hard Mode descussion. Hard Mode made easy? You obviously don't get what the original purpose was (although a majority of it is easy even without consumables or Ursan).

I've got a positive feeling about this update. Want to know why? Because, Lindsey Murdock plays PvE, that's why. She plays it on a serious enough level that she farms for ecto and shards. I seriously [u]hope[/i] that for the first time we have someone in charge of GW1 who understands the PvE "meta" and what it needs.

"PvE meta" isn't actually as inaccurate as most would assume.

Metagaming assumes the existence of a mutable metagame (hell, even the word metagame carries with it the tacit assumption that metagames change).
